Valerie Matarese

Valerie Matarese is an authors’ editor and trainer of scientific writing with ~25 years’ experience supporting biomedical researchers mostly in Italy. A native of the United States, she holds BS and PhD degrees in biochemistry–molecular biology and has worked in research in academia and industry, in both the US and Italy. She has published original research in the biomedical sciences as well as articles and books on the topic of research writing and publishing. She also has extensive experience as a journal copy editor and is an occasional peer reviewer.
