Contents

The course will help scientists prepare their CV and cover letter to apply for a scientific position, and prepare for a job interview by participating in mock interviews with principal investigators.

DAY 1: The workshop will start with a general introduction on how to write a successful CV and cover letter. Then, participants will engage in group discussions to improve their CVs and cover letters. In the last part of the session, aspects related to interviews will be assessed.

DAY 2: Participants will have the opportunity to gain practical experience by having mock interviews with PIs from the PRBB. 

The course consists of several sessions. You should be able to attend all of them.

Study commitment

Please note that this course requires some preparation and there will be also some homework between sessions:

  • First session: Participants should bring their CV and a cover letter

  • Between sessions: Following day 1, participants are required to submit a revised CV before the 25th October. Participants who do not fulfill this requirement will not be eligible to take part in the mock interviews (day 2).
