This course aims to introduce the role that poetry can play in helping to both problem solve in scientific research and to communicate it to diverse audiences.

In this fully interactive session, participants will learn how to read, analyze, and write poetry about scientific research. In doing so they they will also be equipped to use this medium to help develop problem solving skills that can be directly applied to their research as well as a consideration of how to disseminate and communicate their research to wider, more diverse audiences.
You will:
Participants will be expected to have read a selection of approximately 6 science poems that will be provided prior to the session.

NOTE: Conditions for participating in online courses
Intervals courses are small, interactive group sessions in which confidential issues are often raised. During the Zoom sessions you must have your camera on, and a microphone ready to participate in the group activities. You should be in a quiet place with a good internet connection. If you are not alone in the room you must wear headphones. If you are unable to meet these conditions you will be asked to leave the course.
