Scientific Integrity

Aim:This seminar will introduce students to the aims of Science in Action. It will include small group work and individual exercises to reflect on key issues raised by studying the online module and associated readings.

Theme concepts: scientific integrity and responsible conduct of research overview; Fabrication, falsification and plagiarism; “Normal” misbehaviours; Codes of Good Scientific Practice; Ethical decision making.

Methods: Pair work & group discussions with plenary feedback & comment.
