Mindfulness - a taster for science professionals (Online)

Aim:This course will introduce participants to mindfulness as a tool for enhanced self-effectiveness through an improved sense of moment by moment awareness.

The practice of mindfulness is increasingly recognised as an effective method for improving self-management and reducing stress. Scientists’ achievement orientated work styles and rhythms can sometimes aggravate a tendency to disconnect from the present moment and lose perspective on priorities. This training, based on the MBSR* program, has been designed as an experiential and interactive workshop, aiming to guide participants towards self-reflection and self-regulation.

Andrés Martín Asuero was trained in Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction (MBSR) at the University Medical Center, Massachusetts. He lectures and trains professional teams in personal development including stress reduction and self-mastery. Among his customers are large hospitals and health institutions.
